The watch is a fabulous–and functional–statement piece for Fall 2012. Two-tone styles are back in full-force, and bold extra-large faces still prevail. Here are some of my favorite women’s watches for Fall 2012.
Timepiece Trends For Fall 2012
Fall 2012: The Two-Tone Watch
This two-tone Burberry timepiece isn’t a new launch, but it’s ladylike dimensions (a case diameter of 28mm) and asymmetrical gold and silver metal make it ideal for the Fall of 2012. Retail price is $595.
Fall 2012: Big and Bold
80s style is back with a vengeance, so naturally Movado deserves a second look. This HUGE 36mm makes a statement, while the brushed titanium color provides some subtlety. Regular retail is $650, but Anniversary Sale price is $434.90.
Fall 2012: Vivid Color
Chunky enamel bangles in vivid hues are all the rage. The Kate Spade Carousel Bangle Watch in a vivid pink has all of the allure of a pretty bracelet, but with the functionality of a watch. Retail price is $250.
Fall 2012: Gleaming Gold
It isn’t a tough call to make. As the price of precious metals climb, so too will their desirability as a status symbol. Yellow gold accessories have come back to the fore as the price per ounce of the metal has risen, and the Michele ‘Deco Diamond Markers’ Customizable Watch is a great way to embrace the yellow gold trend. Available in a solid gold-tone, this watch can be customized with a matching yellow gold band, or switched out with a leather or alligator strap to tone it down a bit. Retail price is $795 for the watch case. Bands range from $100 – $600.
